Our hero, Giorgis Ampatzis, the people of Thessaloniki, and all Greeks will have to adapt to a life full of prohibitions and deprivations. In the 42 months that the Occupation will last in the city, some will find the opportunity to get rich while others will sell everything to survive. Some will resist the occupiers and others will collaborate with them. There are also those who will be lost forever.

The new graphic novel written and illustrated by Thanasis Petrou, following his previous books The Hostages of Gairlits (2019), 1922: The End of a Dream (2021), 1923: Hostile Homeland (2022) [Winner of Best Comic & Best Original Script at the Greek Comics Awards 2023] and 1936: A Precarious Democracy (2024).
