A vaudeville centered around the life of a famous popular singer, Marika, who died in 1957 at the age of just thirty-five, after a rapid eight-year career.

Performers, mediums, bouzouki players, nightclub owners, and an invisible orchestra bring to life scenes from this woman's short yet dazzling artistic journey.

Scenes that coincide chronologically with Greece's history from the Asia Minor Catastrophe in 1922, the year of Marika's birth, to the late 1950s, while in between, the backdrop of the Civil War and the Occupation unfolds.

The work raises some existential and philosophical questions of utmost importance, such as: What is the capital of Paraguay? On which cheek did Georgia Vasileiadou have a mole? How much did pasta cost in 1948? What slaughterhouse awaits us all? Is a mustache natural? Perhaps reality is a Sleeping Beauty waiting for the kiss of representation to be revived? Does the breading spoil the kollyvi?
