My experience is with PS1–PS5, XBOX 360, and XBOX Series controllers. This is the first time I’ve used a third-party controller for PC gaming.

- The build quality is adequate. The black color looks more premium; it’s translucent (in both colors) and doesn’t creak. The plastic has a pattern on the grips for a better feel and to prevent slipping. It has a port at the bottom for a headset, and the USB port also supports a phone mount that’s sold separately. It’s lighter than the DualSense and very close to the XBOX in terms of ergonomics.
- The controller works via Bluetooth for Android, PC, and Switch, with a 2.4GHz dongle, and wired for PC. It also works with iOS.
- I sit about two meters away, and the dongle is behind my computer. Sometimes it loses signal or has a little delay. It doesn’t bother me, because whatever I’ve used has always had this issue, and this controller has the fewest problems. It’s probably a difficult spot in general.
- Wired, the response is among the best, and wirelessly it’s just as good as the DualSense.
- It supports X-Input, so the computer recognizes it as a Microsoft controller, as well as Direct Input, where it appears as a generic controller or as a PS4 controller on Steam. Steam also recognizes it as a Switch controller when you connect it via Bluetooth.
- It has gyro, which only works in Direct Input mode. People say it’s good, but I haven’t tried it in a game yet.
- The vibration may not have the technology of the DualSense or Xbox, but that didn’t bother me at all. Personally, I don’t think the DualSense technology is anything special, even in games like Astro Bot. In contrast, I found this controller’s vibration more substantial and less annoying, and of course you can adjust its intensity.
- It has TMR sticks, which, from what people say, are even better than Hall Effect sticks (which I haven’t used). I found them excellent and got used to them quickly. Compared to the DualSense, you can feel the sticks wanting to return to the center. Although they feel like they need a little more force, they also feel faster. Their movement is also very smooth, without friction. The metal anti-friction ring around the analog sticks helps with this.
- ABXY, LB, RB, and D-pad buttons: They’re mechanical, and I liked how they feel more than the DualSense’s, with the exception of the D-pad. They sound like a mouse click. In “quiet” games, the noise may be more annoying than the DualSense’s, though not necessarily louder. In general, I’d choose mechanical buttons again, but if you’re looking for a quieter controller, you’d be better off looking at something else, such as the similar GameSir SuperNova.
- LB & RB bumpers: Given the way I hold the controller, they were uncomfortable at first, especially. Coming from many years of using PlayStation controllers, where the R1 and L1 buttons are taller, the adjustment took longer. Your index finger—the finger I use to press them—has to be positioned higher to get a good grip. At first, I’d stretch my fingers and they’d hurt a little. Now I press them at the edges and I’ve gotten used to them.
- RT and LT triggers: They use Hall Effect technology and have a Hair Trigger function. They feel excellent; I feel like there’s no friction at all. Hair Trigger is extremely useful for games that don’t require analog pressure and gives a great sense of responsiveness. The mechanism for switching them to Hair Trigger with minimal fingernail pressure is fine. It could certainly be more convenient.
- The back buttons are convenient and large. The click sounds “hollow.” That’s not really a problem, of course; they just feel slightly lower quality. Another annoyance is that they don’t have a physical switch to prevent accidental presses; you can only disable them through software.
- It has Turbo mode and macro support, features that the G7 Pro doesn’t have because of its Xbox license.
- Although I’m not particularly interested in its RGB lighting, it looks nice, and I think it would look better under the white plastic than under the black. You can only turn it off through the app, where you can also set any color combination you want and adjust the brightness.
- The battery life is satisfactory. Better than the DualSense. I never felt that it ran out too quickly.
- It has an excellent PC program that lets you really customize it however you want. Most functions are also available via shortcuts on the controller itself, so the software isn’t absolutely necessary. You can set up four profiles with completely different settings.

As my first controller, I’m quite satisfied. For the price, even though I did a lot of research, I couldn’t find a more appealing option. I recommend it.

In my opinion, the best controller for its category, excellent quality and features. TMR Joysticks (Compared to Hall Effect, it theoretically has even greater accuracy and durability, as well as less battery usage. It has a metal ring on the "neck" of the joysticks for even less friction. Charges with USB C, and comes with a 1m cable (Type-A to Type-C). It has an excellent Gyro.

The controller works with X-Input, Switch, Playstation, and "Android" inputs. It has Bluetooth, a 2.4GHz dongle (Type A), and also works wired. DOES NOT WORK FOR X-BOX and Playstation consoles. (You need a controller licensed by Microsoft/Sony).

It has a tactile D-Pad, ABXY, Triggers/Shoulders, the triggers can be either "analog" or "digital". In digital, it has a tactile switch.

Check GAMEPADLA for more accurate descriptions of controllers and see reviews. I spent 2 weeks with Excel tables to come to this conclusion, so I hope the review helps, I was satisfied.

P.S. The buttons make noise because they are tactile. If you don't want noise, choose Gamesir Super Nova, which has Hall Effect and membrane buttons, no other difference! I got both hehe n.n
