The duration of the dietary treatment depends on the cause of the condition. For uric acid stones, treatment should be administered for at least 6 months. In cases of irreversible metabolic disorders of uric acid, this diet may be given for the entire life of the pet. For cystine stones, Urinary U/C Low Purine can be administered for 1 year as initial stage treatment. Clinical re-evaluation is necessary before continuing the dietary treatment.
