Description

Our country is experiencing the worst period in its entire modern history, amidst unrestrained falsehoods hurled from both sides by politicians, the mass media, the business and banking world, as well as by friends and (un)faithful supporters.

The central figures of the country are thriving, while its citizens are starving and suffering; its governance is perilously close to becoming unconstitutional, and its performance in the field of human rights is daily under scrutiny.

Additionally, the geopolitical situation places the country in the eye of the storm that will break out in the Eastern Mediterranean between the West and Russia over energy issues, as a consequence of the current conflict in Ukraine and its surroundings. The winner will be determined by those with decisive leaders, while the loser will be the one with a divided leadership that, although it 'barks', cannot agree on whether it can 'bite' and, even when it can, does not know 'how' and 'where'.

Our immediate neighbors have also become bolder than ever, precisely because they know they are dealing with a weak Greek government where the 3% of the people guides the policies of the strongest faction (in the last elections), which, however, is currently in decline.

In light of the above, the question arises: Have the Greeks completely lost the sense of 'know thyself'? Or do they genuinely believe that their foreign allies are so foolish as to think that Greece, in its current state, is an 'island of stability' in the Balkans and the Middle East?

It is a thought-provoking book, written to make every honest citizen reflect on the above issues and encourage them that he himself, and only he, can act and ensure that the sun of Greece will rise again over this troubled land. [Excerpt from the text on the back cover of the edition]
