The culture of our kitchen gives us signals to explain the world. We are what we eat; our eating habits, trends, recipes, restaurants, and cookbooks, the focus on nutrition by the media and social networks, the representation of dietary habits in literature—these and many more reveal our characteristics, the traits of our peers, and the features of the society that encompasses us.
For all these reasons, these texts were written, and for the same reasons, we gather them in a publication ten years after their first release. They are presented to the readers' judgment as a combative critique of cultural behaviors in our daily lives, as documentation of an era, as a literary exercise seeking validation, or at least, as a result of personal vanity.
