Description

The authors of the volume: Leonidas Vatikiotis, Konstantinos Grivas, Dionysios Drosos, Stelios Elliniadis, Makis Zervas, Kriton Iliopoulos, Kostas Isychos, Theodoros Ignatiadis, Dimitris Kaltsounis, Dimitris Konstantakopoulos, Vasilis Liosis, Giorgos Margaritis, Panagiotis Papadomanolakis, Giorgos Pleiou, Marina Rigou, Gulbaat Rzkhiladze.

The economic crisis and the deterioration of the neoliberal model of governance are leading to an increase in the influence of the far-right in many countries of Europe. Eighty years after the Great Anti-Fascist Victory of the Peoples, this has now become an undeniable fact.

At the same time, the world is changing rapidly, ceasing to be Eurocentric or West-centric. The emergence on the international stage of a large number of countries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America forces thoughtful people to view the nature of fascism and its prehistory differently. After all, fascism itself is a creation of Europe and was established based on the social thought of representatives from its western part.

The future of Europe cannot be shaped in favor of its peoples without critical struggle and the containment of neo-fascism and its modern forms.
