Description

Knights, castles, and orders in Greece. The historical research that reveals the secrets of the Crusades in the Peloponnese.

Raymond Lull, the great intellectual and mystic of the Western Middle Ages, notes in his treatise on chivalry that a knight-monk belonging to a military-religious order always carries two swords with him, one of the body and one of the soul. Even closer to our time, brilliant minds (such as the versatile French esotericist Victor-Emile Michelet) who managed to delve into the dark depths of the history and legends of the Western knightly orders, such as the Templars, "returned" with exceptional conclusions to tell us about the great secret kinship of the Knights Templar with the famous Knights of the Round Table.

The author of the book, an experienced scholar, castle explorer, and passionate admirer of chivalry, narrates the connections of many – and usually relatively unknown – medieval monuments of Morea (castles, Gothic churches, even invisible cemeteries of chivalry) with the three aforementioned military-religious orders, whose appearance is linked to the end of the Fourth Crusade and the establishment of the Principality of Achaea. At the same time, he recounts – when he considers it useful – strange legends, brings to light mysterious excavations, identifies symbols, proposes his positions and theories, and ultimately presents numerous photographs, for a better understanding of the reader.

Aspects of the history of the legendary Templars, the Northern Teutonic Knights, and the Knights of Malta from the land of the Peloponnese. The unknown monuments and their modern appearance.

"Chivalry is, therefore, a very honorable and necessary function for the governance of the world, and the knight must be respected by people." Raymond
