The main theme of this book is the contemporary shaping of the teaching role of the educator, in an era that demands the promotion of the learner towards acquiring the ability to seek and discover knowledge. This knowledge is required and necessary for solving realistic and substantial problems of the learner's daily life.
Thus, this book aims at the broader reflection on the "didactic actions" of the modern educator. At the same time, the educator is perceived as a dynamic component that can constructively contribute to this implementation.
The author is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, in the field of "Didactic Methodology." He was born in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Pedagogical Academy of Mytilene, the Department of Primary Education of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and possesses a Master's Degree and a Doctorate from the same university. He also holds a European Diploma in the education and training of educators of the European Union.
He served as a primary education teacher, held the position of Environmental Education Coordinator for Primary Education in the Chalkidiki region, and was a School Advisor for Primary Education in the Pieria region. He has also taught at the Universities of Western Macedonia and Thessaly and has written eight books focused on pedagogy, while a series of his articles have been published in reputable Greek and international scientific journals.
