  • Was it interesting enough?
  • I would choose a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for purchase
  • Once upon a time there was a cobbler, Aris... He was very good at his job and that's why many little animals chose him to make their shoes. And with patience, humor, and great zeal, he made the most beautiful shoes, even for centipedes!

And while Aris is at his bench working, young readers learn colors, addition, and subtraction!

What a "crazy" and brilliant book! Every spread is a unique adventure, full of colorful yet simple sketches. Thus, it keeps the interest of both young and old undiminished, who can't wait to turn the page!

In a pleasant way, it draws children into its story and, without them realizing it, gets them to think and do mathematical operations.

Moreover, the texts, which resemble little poems, make the plot more approachable and easier to read...

It is definitely an important aid for children in the early grades of elementary school, to have their first contact with numbers and more... My boys learned the colors, the days of the week, the types of feet some animals have, and the footprints they leave...

They also enriched their vocabulary with new words and learned how to use them to make clever rhymes!

We already had another book from the series "Fairy Tales with Numbers" in our library... "Fifi and Fofo, the conceited whales," but I like this one more, as do my kids... Maybe because first you have to learn addition and subtraction and then multiplication and division...

At the end of the book, there are clever exercises and activities, as well as sticker labels, all in the theme and style of the book. And a surprise... A recipe for eggplant shoes! Surely, that's for older kids...

I love Eugene Trivizas because he colored my childhood with my beloved Fruitopia, Pico Apico, and all those heroes with imaginative names...

Now, it's time for me to read his books to my children and transport them to a colorful, imaginative, humorous world...
