Description

Upgrade your gaming and typing experience with the Keychron C3 Pro (C3PX-H1). A top-tier wired mechanical keyboard in a TKL (80%) layout, equipped with Keychron Super Red Switches and Hot-Swappable technology for easy customization without soldering. With an incredible 8000 Hz polling rate (8K Polling Rate), open-source QMK/VIA support for full key programming, durable PBT keycaps, and impressive RGB lighting, it is the ultimate weapon for competitive gaming and demanding typing.

Instant Response with Polling Rate up to 8000 Hz

In the world of competitive gaming, every fraction of a second counts, and the Keychron C3 Pro is built to give you the ultimate advantage. With revolutionary support for 8K Polling Rate (8000 Hz polling rate), communication between your keyboard and your computer becomes up to 8 times faster than standard keyboards. This translates to near-zero input lag, ensuring that every move you make is registered instantly on the screen. Through the easy-to-use Launcher web app, you can switch the polling rate between 1000 Hz, 4000 Hz, and 8000 Hz according to your needs.

Fully Programmable with QMK and Launcher

Unleash your creativity and customize the Keychron C3 Pro to your needs thanks to the powerful open-source QMK firmware. This platform allows you to fully remap any key, create complex macros, and assign custom shortcuts that will boost your productivity. The process is now simpler than ever, as you can make all adjustments directly from your browser using the user-friendly Launcher web app, without needing to install heavy software.

Unmatched Acoustics and Premium Internal Structure

Keychron has paid great attention to producing a full, deep, and premium typing sound while avoiding annoying metallic noises. Inside the keyboard, an advanced combination of 3.5 mm thick EVA acoustic foam, a special IXPE protective film, EPDM foam, and an absorbent silicone pad has been installed. This multi-layer sound-dampening structure, combined with the factory pre-lubricated switches, delivers an exceptionally smooth, stable, and satisfying feel with every keystroke.

Hot-Swappable Design for Ultimate Customization

Change the character of your keyboard in just a few seconds without needing to use a soldering iron. The Hot-Swappable board of the Keychron C3 Pro allows you to remove and install switches with maximum ease. It is compatible with almost all MX-type mechanical switches on the market, whether they are 3pin or 5pin versions (such as Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.). This gives you the ability to experiment and create a completely custom combination of feel and sound.

Durable Double-Shot PBT Keycaps & RGB Lighting

The keycaps are made using the Double-Shot PBT method in a Cherry profile, offering top-tier durability in use and protection against the shine caused by the oils from your fingers. The integrated RGB lighting features a North-Facing LED design (facing upward), allowing the light to pass through the keycaps more intensely and evenly. This makes the keyboard highly readable even in complete darkness, while also creating a striking visual effect on your desk.

Easy Windows/Mac Switching and Ergonomic Design

The Keychron C3 Pro is fully compatible with both Windows and macOS operating systems. With a simple press of the FN + Caps Lock keys, you can instantly switch functionality, while the package also includes extra keycaps to match the layout of the system you use. To protect your wrists during long hours of use, the keyboard features three levels of adjustable typing angle (4", 6" and 8.7"), offering the ideal ergonomic support you need every day.

This review is about the switches: Keychron Super Brown

It is my first mechanical keyboard. I have used one only a few times in stores and at a friend’s place.
I searched quite a lot on YouTube, in conversations with AI, on websites, and I ended up quite easily with this keyboard as soon as I read its features.

    - The brown switches, without experience with others, are wonderful. There is a tiny tactile feel (that is, the click you feel) that you have to try to notice, but it is enough. From the videos I watched, I expected it to be much more pronounced and luckily it is not.
    - I feel some resistance in the keys throughout the press, which some gamers may not want. I do not find them heavy, but I imagine that the red switches, which are lighter, would be a better choice for speed or long hours of use(?). It does not bother me at all; on the contrary, it gives a feeling of quality and the key return is very fast.
    - The sound is sweet and deep, and I cannot get enough of hearing it. Together with the feel of the keys, it is the first time I am typing and actually enjoying it.
    - You can change all the keycaps and switches. It also includes extra switches and keycaps for Windows, as well as the tool to remove them.
    - The letters will not fade and the plastic will not get shiny over the years because of the materials.
    - It works on Mac and Windows.
    - It is plastic on the outside and inside, with a metal plate and foam. It weighs around 800 g. In a bend test it has minimal flex, and you need force to make it happen.
    - It is tall; you may need a wrist rest, and it also has 2 positions to raise it on the back side.
    - It does not slip at all on glossy wood.
    - Its LED lighting is not excessive. It is hidden between the keys and feels like it comes from a great depth. It also has two discreet strips on the sides. The only negative is that on some keys the light passing through the letters is not perfectly uniform. It does not bother me at all; it is not intense, but if you want to notice it, you will see it.
    - It comes with funky stickers that I would never stick anywhere, but they are wonderful.
    - The polling rate is 8000 Hz, excellent, though not necessary.
    - You do not need any installed program to use it and change its settings.
There are two ways you can change its settings:
Through keyboard shortcuts, which of course are more limited.
Through the browser, by going to Keychron’s special page. The negative is that Firefox is not supported.
The program that runs in the browser is very beautiful, simple, and fast. It has many functions such as:
    - Type test - It produces text with time, and at the end it gives you various statistics to help you improve.
    - Help center - Information about everything.
    - AI - It is slightly slow, but the two times I needed it, it gave me valuable help.
    - Key Test - You can see whether all the buttons work.
    - Firmware update
    - Changing the polling rate and debounce.
    - Endless options for macros.
    - You can bind buttons so they directly run programs or open websites.
    - Backlight - You can do whatever you want with the keyboard lighting, exactly as you imagine it.
    - Snap Action - You change the way the keyboard behaves when you press two buttons at the same time.
    - Key Map - Here you change what function each key has.
    - From what I saw, you can also load profiles from other people with their own settings. I have not tried it yet, but it may be a great feature that can prove useful.
    - Something I usually do not pay much attention to, but for this money it impressed me, is the unboxing. On the outside it has an excellent-quality matte cardboard sleeve with shiny gold letters. Inside there is a black matte hard box with an iridescent company logo, and when you open it everything is neatly arranged and there is a large colorful quick guide with keyboard shortcuts. All around the box there is gray, quality Styrofoam. I felt like I was unboxing my RTX5070ti again, except this one costs only 50€-60€.

Experienced users will not need this review, as they will know better than me what the more expensive models offer in addition.

I recommend it as a first mechanical keyboard to everyone. Just make sure it is the 8K. The cheaper one has some shortcomings compared to this one.

Amazing keyboard with open source firmware. Also, even though I bought it with brown switches, it's the quietest brown switch keyboard in the office!!
