A distinct chapter in the persecutions against the fighters of the EAM Resistance, supporters and members of the KKE, during the period of multifaceted terror that followed the Varkiza Agreement, is that of their being outlawed in order for them to be reported, arrested, or even executed.

This is a first attempt to record—through the Government Gazette where the outlaw notices were published—the outlawed fighters in the prefecture of Imathia.

This small edition is a modest tribute to those who, in difficult times, stood tall and went against the tide, “standing upright and walking upright” in the noble struggle so that “man may become truly human.”
