Mapesil AC silicone by Mapei, with a capacity of 310ml, is a mold-resistant, elastic one-component acetic polymerization silicone sealant, solvent-free. It cures with atmospheric moisture at normal temperatures. It has the form of an elastic thixotropic paste, allowing easy application on horizontal and vertical surfaces with excellent durability over time and weather resistance.

The silicone has excellent adhesion to materials such as glass, ceramic tiles, and anodized aluminum, while with the use of a primer, this adhesion extends to concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic, and rubber. It incorporates mold-resistant and antibacterial components and is waterproof but vapor permeable.

It is used as an expansion joint sealant with movements of ± 25% of the original size and is ideal for applications in tiles, sinks, kitchens, bathrooms, pools, glazing, frames, doors, windows, balconies, tanks, and pipes. It is not recommended for aquarium sealing.

It is applied with conventional silicone guns at temperatures from 5°C to 50°C. It has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC), rated Emicode EC1 Plus, and complies with standards EN 15651-1, EN 15651-2, EN 15651-3. It bears the CE mark.
