The hero, without a future, wanders through Chalkida, Athens, and Agios Konstantinos… He takes on whatever job he can to survive; he only needs a piece of bread and a roof to protect him from the night and the storm. He becomes a shoeshiner, an accountant, an actor, a traveling bookseller. It is through this that he meets the writer Yiannis Skarimpas, with whom he becomes a brotherly friend.
For him, as well as for Skarimpas, the driving force is love; love for books and for Alice. He seeks the truths that will free him, wandering – chasing the winds...
