  • This review is about modules: 2, total capacity: 16 GB

The laptop in which these memories were used is a turbo X with a 2nd generation i7. The previous memory was 8gb with 1333mhz. I can say that the difference was not noticeable at first, however, with the use of relatively demanding programs, the difference became apparent. I recommend them if you want to keep your laptop for another two years.

  • I bought it for the barebone (mini pc) Gigabyte Brix GB-BPCE-3350C, and it worked, but it caused problems during the machine's startup, probably due to incompatibility. Specifically, while the power LED would light up, nothing would happen for a while. I would turn it off by pressing the power button for a long time. I would turn it on again and usually on the 3rd or 4th try it would start up normally. After that, it was okay. But during startups, there were incompatibility issues with this particular machine. The truth is that this specific memory is not on the lists recommended by the manufacturer, but usually, there is no problem. In this case, there was, and I eventually bought the Silicon Power 8GB DDR3 RAM with Speed 1600 Code: SP008GLSTU160N02, which is at a lower speed, but it works fine.
Edit 15/1/2026: I had it sitting unused for 2.5 years, and now that DDR4-5 memories have become more expensive, I decided to make use of it. So I bought a fanless/passive mini pc from abroad with the i7-5600U processor (109 Euro) and it works perfectly! In fact, although the processor's specs say it can handle memory up to 1600MHz, here it surprisingly utilized the full 1866MHz! DDR3 was up to 5th, rarely 6th generation processors. So one could say that I might have the fastest fanless DDR3 mini pc!
