This volume aims to review, re-evaluate, and synthesize the entire constitutional material, more precisely the entire fifty-year period of the constitution and its acquis, which does not ignore, but incorporates the sequence of crises, challenges, interpretative conflicts, and tensions caused by the crossing of the national Constitution with EU Law and International Law, before both national courts and the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

This work compiles the proceedings of the scientific Conference titled "Fifty Years since the 1975 Constitution," held at the Zappeion Megaron on June 10 and 11, 2025, exactly fifty years after the 1975 Constitution came into force. The event was co-organized by the Circle of Ideas, under the auspices of the Parliament, in collaboration with diaNEOsis and the Delphi Economic Forum.

The entire Greek scientific community, together with notable participants from Spain and Portugal—countries that experienced similar historical transition experiences—assesses from all possible perspectives the enactment, revisions, informal changes, legislative and judicial application, and interpretative challenges of the post-dictatorship/post-1975 Constitution.
