This book addresses an important pedagogical topic that particularly concerns the educational reality of many school systems in different countries, focusing on Small Rural Primary Schools.
The book is divided into two parts: The first provides an extensive overview of the theoretical and historical approach to Small Rural Primary Schools, as well as the research investigations related to them, presenting preliminary research data on the Greek reality. The second part presents teaching methodological approaches for each type of Small Rural Primary School, enabling interested readers to extract relevant teaching strategies that can be directly applied in teaching within that specific school type.
The author is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, specializing in "Teaching Methodology." He was born in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Pedagogical Academy of Mytilene, a degree from the Department of Primary Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a Master's Degree and PhD from the same university. He also holds a European Diploma in Education and Teacher Training from the European Union.
He has served as an Primary Education teacher, was responsible for Environmental Education in Primary Education in the Prefecture of Chalkidiki, and was a School Counselor for Primary Education in the Prefecture of Pieria. Additionally, he has taught at the University of Western Macedonia and the University of Thessaly, authored eight pedagogical books, and his series of articles has been published in reputable Greek and international scientific journals.
