It is not a book about technology despite the fact that we depict many high-tech companies. While we are fascinated by technology and the impact it has on modern times, our focus in this book is the ecosystem that produces radically new business ideas.

We explore history and culture and use selected company stories to understand the origins of this creative energy and the forms through which it is expressed.

We also examine threats to Israel's success - many of which are likely to surprise the reader, given that they do not align with those that generally concern the international press. This book is our attempt to explain this phenomenon.
