What do users say? AI-generated summary

Users rate it very highly, especially praising its enjoyable combat system and engaging story. They also commend the graphics, atmosphere, and exploration, and many consider it a strong return for the series. However, several find the difficulty—particularly in boss fights—excessive; some also mention repetition in the story or boss battles.

  • Good overall.
    1. A successor to a series of great games that were different for their time.
    2. The graphics could be better. It is a 2026 game, after all.
    3. The story drags a bit at some point, for my taste, to the point where you’ll feel like you’re repeating the same main/side mission.
    4. A powerful and enjoyable fight system. For an average player, it’s better to choose Easy (you’ll die 4–6 times, then you’ll get the hang of it).

    It’s worth trying.
It won’t stay etched in your memory like Onimusha 2.

This review is about the edition: Standard

The Story difficulty really should have been accessible, Capcom. Even on easy, the game is tough. When you say it’s an action hack-and-slash game, it should be like God of War, for example. Don’t get it for a little kid; unfortunately, it’s tough, especially the bosses. Even on the supposedly easy difficulty, they’ll beat you down many times, no matter how many upgrades you have. I don’t know if an update will come out and make easy a little more forgiving; for now, it’s tough. Other than that, it’s a wonderful game with great combat. Four stars from me because of the difficulty. That’s all.

This review is about the edition: Standard

    Positives:

Story and Atmosphere: A very interesting and enjoyable story that combines action with a generous dose of humor.

Combat System: Excellent, addictive, and enjoyable combat.

Graphics and Exploration: A beautiful visual style with very carefully crafted environments and fun exploration that rewards you.

    Negatives:

Weapon Variety: I would have liked a greater variety of equipment, as beyond the sword (katana), there are no other weapon options.

Repeated Bosses: Some bosses are repeated several times throughout the game.

Camera Angles: In some situations, such as in tight spaces with many enemies, the camera becomes a little difficult to manage.

    Summary:
An excellent GAME with an awesome atmosphere and top-notch combat. Despite the lack of other weapons and the repetition of some bosses, it remains an excellent experience that is definitely worth playing!

After Sekiro, I think it's the best samurai videogame.
Amazing combat system... great story and graphics.
I didn't expect it to be this good.
Ghost and Assassin's, the recent comparable ones, don't hold a candle to it.
It has something of the magic of soulslikes that makes you want to face the bosses again and again.

The great return of the biggest horror hack n slash. We had been waiting for years for Capcom’s forgotten little gem, and what a comeback it made to reintroduce itself to us! Now with linear, modernized gameplay, making it even more addictive and richer, while adding innovative swordplay to combat. A game for both longtime fans and newcomers.
