The continuation of the collection of Answers is the fulfillment of a debt to the creator who changed the image of Greek theater, defined its main dramaturgical directions, and provided written arguments that supported the main expressions of the Greek theatrical history of the post-war period. (Excerpt from the text "The Limits of the Stage and the Border of Writing" by Plato Mavromoustakos)
In a tragic irony, the themes and social concerns of his theatrical works, primarily from the first period "with distinctly dominant dramas such as the drama of the unemployed, the poor, and the homeless," as he himself described, are unfortunately still relevant today.
Kampanellis left behind a rich body of work. The Archive of Iakovos Kampanellis, thanks to the care of his daughter Katina, has been gathered and is in the final stages of its formation.
For a year now, the website http://www.kambanellis.gr/ has been posted as a genuine guide and responsible aid to its readers. (Excerpt from the "Foreword" by Thanos Foskarinis)
