Description

The sun reigned behind the barracks, the beggars were searching for a bit of water, but all the bowls were turned upside down in the city of Kana, the women were leaving crying in the yellow twilight, I, hunted, was sharing my wine on the hill with robbers and false witnesses, while the cross was already biting the edge of my coat. Whom should I love? To whom should I confess? Only God can boast that He heard me complain, I drank all the mud in the sewer they threw me into, my intestines became the roads that roll with triumphal carriages, I took out my wings and pierced them into the old woman, who was being buried all alone with a sparrow in the neighboring tree, with an old case full of ashes - remember me when the time comes. Handicrafts of prisoners were drying by the fireplace, it was autumn and the fields had become deserted, I heard the steps of the poachers devouring the stolen hay. Then I saw the great gallows, where I had to ascend, unknown whether I would be crowned king or roll into the basket of the decapitated.
