The two speeches of George Seferis delivered at the Nobel Prize for Literature ceremony at the Swedish Academy in 1963, translated into Italian by Maria Caracausi. On the occasion of his award, Seferis speaks about the modern Greek tradition, Greek identity, and the Greek language.
The edition also includes, in Italian translation, Seferis's two poems, "The King of Asinine" and "The Cats of St. Nicholas," as well as an afterword and timeline of Seferis's life, by poet and critic Dimitris Daskalopoulos.
Following is a list of works by Seferis that have been translated into Italian and a suggested bibliography of Italian books about Greece and Greek literature.
