Description

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT) is the fastest-growing form of psychotherapy and is also the most widely applied worldwide, as it has proven its effectiveness in a very large variety of psychological disorders.

This book presents the basic theoretical framework of CBT as well as all the necessary elements for effective clinical practice. It helps therapists develop an understanding of their cases, plan an effective therapeutic process, enrich their techniques, and address any difficulties they may encounter.

Judith Beck's book titled "Introduction to Cognitive Therapy," which was published in Greek in 2004, was an extremely successful book. It has been translated into dozens of languages and has become the essential manual for every cognitive behavioral therapist, as well as for every training program in CBT in Greece and around the world.

The significant advances in CBT that have occurred over the past approximately 15 years have led the author to revise her book. The content of the chapters has been rewritten to a very large extent, and three new chapters have been added. Additionally, Judith Beck personalizes the therapeutic process, as she now speaks as a therapist-supervisor in the first person, making the reading experience even more immediate, as she addresses the reader-therapist in the second person.

For these and many other reasons, the book Introduction to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy becomes even better than its already very good previous edition.
