The 54 total presentations in this volume focus on historiography topics of modern and contemporary Greek architecture in a systematic and comprehensive manner.

They cover the following issues: 1) Architecture and art from the end of Neo-Classicalism to the beginning of the 21st century 2) History of interwar architecture 3) "Theory of restoration" of modern movement architecture 4) History of post-war architecture 5) The research contribution of architectural archives 6) Theoretical assumptions for 20th-century architecture and 7) Critical assessment of the contemporary condition.

Most of the authors of the presentations, representing different generations, teach at architectural schools throughout Greece or abroad, while others are researchers at reputable research institutions outside the university. The complex general theme and the new research approaches to the individual topics give this volume an original, comprehensive, and particularly instructive character for those interested in contemporary Greek architecture.
