Today, then, we speak the same language in its evolution, and that is what is important. You may focus on a form or a word, but you feel that it is your own text.
Therefore, the continuity of the language is the special, and I will say unique, characteristic of Greek compared to other languages. It is not the "mother of all languages" as some delude themselves. That is not true. However, it is true that it has a continuity of forty centuries.
