This edition contains brief theological analyses and reflections on the prospects of ecumenical dialogue, in which "being moved by the spirit of reconciliation, the Orthodox Church actively participates, for many decades now, in the effort to restore Christian unity, which constitutes a clear and irrevocable mandate of the Lord (John 17:21)" (Message from the Primates of the Orthodox Churches of 15-3-92).

It is the result of the collective effort of three bodies: the Church of Greece, the Theological School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the World Council of Churches.
