The first Fitzek book I read. Yes, I finished it quickly and I was indeed anxious to see how things would unfold, but I think it was somewhat tiring at times and I can say that I predicted the ending so it didn't completely surprise me. 3.5/5

While it is fast-paced like a thriller, it loses two stars due to the many unnecessary descriptions and the slightly "bloated" plot with some gaps. It would have been even better with 80-100 fewer pages, ideally 3.5 stars from me.

It didn't keep me in suspense at all. Good plot but it tired me out without there being a point where I could say it kept me in suspense to read on.

I started reading Fitzek a month ago. The first book was The Experiment. The man is a genius. He plays with your mind and leaves you speechless. Everything of his that I have read so far is amazing. I believed that after Jo Nesbo, no author would amaze me. I was wrong!

Amazing novel, it keeps you in suspense from the beginning. Although I think it drags a bit in some parts, I believe it more than makes up for it in the end.

Very good book and I would recommend it! Just because I happened to read first "The Therapy" by the same author which I consider super, this was just a notch below! Suspenseful and unpredictable, just many characters and names that confuse you a bit! The author's style is amazing in both!

Okay, the book is unbeatable! From the very beginning, it keeps you in suspense about what is going to happen next. Easy to read and absolutely understandable. The ending is worth all the money with a detail that made me shiver all over. I highly recommend it.

The story takes place during Christmas at a psychiatric clinic in Berlin. The protagonist is a mysterious man who is randomly found in this clinic, having suffered total amnesia, without remembering any information from his past. His compass in exploring his dark past will be the visions he occasionally experiences and the help of Dr. Sophia. Soon, however, the snowstorm will intensify, new patients will arrive at the clinic, and the "soul crusher" seeking his next victims will strike fatefully... I would say the story is quite original. Those who have dealt with Fitzek's previous readings may be able to predict some developments in the story. However, this particular author always has a way of surprising us. Because once again, nothing is as it seems...

Easy to read, keeps your interest and immerses you in the story. However, I found it quite exaggerated and towards the end a bit tiresome with the descriptions. I don't think I wasted my time, but I can't recommend it either. I would say it's mediocre

One of the best thriller books I have read. S. Fitzek is easy to read, grabs your interest from the first page and maintains it throughout. Many boring descriptions, the ending is completely irrelevant, you expect something dramatic and it ends completely foolishly!
I have read other books by the same author and I loved them, but this one was a waste of time!

First book I'm reading. Very good guys, really worth it for me. I got this and the package that I will start tomorrow. I only read books of this style and I have to say that it was one of the few so groundbreaking without boring description. I recommend it!!!

This is the second book I've read by this particular author (the first one was "The Package"). It keeps you constantly on edge, resulting in finishing the book in just a few hours. The ending is unexpected. Congratulations!

Although it initially tired me a little, it had an excellent development in the plot, it was not predictable at all, and it constantly built suspense.

It is the first one I have read from this specific author.. At first, I wasn't impressed but as I continued, I started to like it.. In the end, I finished it in two days.. It surprised me.

The book is relatively good but only up to a certain point.

It starts off very well and ends somewhat decently. The issue is the middle part, specifically from around page 200 to 300, where it becomes slow. The characters are not anything special but I wouldn't say they are bad either. The writing style is decent but only up to a certain extent. The book benefits from the fairly good concept it has.

It is the first book I have read from this particular author and I was truly impressed! You feel like you are actively participating in solving the mystery. I spent three sleepless nights to finish it!

I had high expectations so I didn't love it. However, I liked it. We read about a patient of a psychiatric clinic who suffers from amnesia. A let's say serial killer enters the clinic and chaos ensues. Good plot twist, no doubt about it. From the middle onwards, I admit that the book kept me more engaged and I raced through it.

The first book I read! I didn't expect to read it all without getting bored or tired! It really worth it (I never used to read books)
