Vitex Superbond Primer is an acrylic bonding primer containing quartz sand. It is ready to use and highly resistant to alkalis. Suitable for interior and exterior use on smooth or low-absorbency surfaces, such as plasterboard, metal and masonry. It creates a rough surface to help subsequent materials adhere, including plaster and microcement.
Before application, the surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, oils and loose material. Stir the product thoroughly and apply one coat with a roller or brush, undiluted or diluted with up to 5% water. It is touch-dry in 2–3 hours. Plaster or cement mortar can be applied after 6–8 hours. Clean tools immediately after use with water and, if needed, soap or detergent.
