The financial assistance for publishing efforts, such as the current edition of the Society for Macedonian Studies, stems from a sense of duty towards the unforgettable Minor Asia, its culture, and its people.

It is also a reverent tribute to the souls of my ancestors who arrived eight decades ago in this sacred Macedonian land, coming from the blessed land of Ionia. Along with them, hundreds of thousands of other refugees brought to their new homeland their enthusiasm and passion, their sorrows and their dreams.

They worked hard and toiled together with other Greeks. Thus, they soon achieved the miracle of recreation and progress. Their stance encourages and guides us, their example moves and inspires us.
