The engineers at HOYA have developed a new ANTI-STATIC coating that acts like a force field around the filter to repel dust. Ideal for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters.
The tougher, anti-static top layer is water-repellent and stain-resistant, easily cleaning off smudges or fingerprints. Circular polarizing filters allow photographers to achieve creative effects within the camera. A polarizing filter filters out unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, as well as light that is reflected from moisture and pollution in the atmosphere.
Rotating the filter lets you choose the right amount of filtering to achieve the creative effect, providing bluer skies, greener leaves, reduced or eliminated reflections, and greater sharpness in the final image.
The new professional FUSION ANTISTATIC NEXT filters are made in Japan with hand-selected silica salts. HOYA applies the improved formula 18-Layer Super Multi-Coating to both sides, reducing or eliminating reflections on the glass surface and delivering very high light transmission rates, with no substantial effect on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image beyond its polarizing effects.
The filters feature a lightweight, two-piece aluminum frame with a very low profile, which eliminates vignetting on ultra-wide angle lenses.
