In this edition of the honorary volume for Emeritus Professor Maria Gasouka of the University of the Aegean, thirty-seven male and female scientists have contributed original texts, honoring Maria Gasouka for her contribution to the modernization and renewal of Contemporary Folklore Studies, as well as to Feminist Thought and Science.

Furthermore, within the same context, in this volume, greetings of honor and love are addressed by the rector of the University of the Aegean, Professor Chrysi Vitsilaki, the former rector of the University of the Aegean, Professor Stefanos Gritzzalis, the vice-rector of the University of the Aegean, Professor Dimitrios Papageorgiou, the vice-rector of the University of the Aegean, Professor Elena Theodoropoulou, the director of the Gender Laboratory and Chair of the Equality Committee of the same university, Professor Maria Karamesini, as well as the former Secretary General for Gender Equality and current President of the Greek Society of Women University Professors (ELEGYP), Associate Professor Maria Stratigaki.
