FOUR AMAZING FRIENDS

A MURDER WITHOUT A BODY

AND DANGER KNOCKS ON THEIR DOOR

Welcome to the Thursday Murder Club.

THE BESTSELLING MYSTERY SERIES THAT HAS BROKEN ALL RECORDS.

It's an ordinary Thursday, and it seems that peace has finally settled for the members of the well-known and beloved Club. Only trouble doesn't forget them for long. A decade-old cold case they are trying to solve leads them to a legendary figure in local journalism and to a murder without a body and without answers.

And as if that weren't enough, Elizabeth's new nemesis visits her, offering a deadly mission: to kill or be killed… While their case is no longer for the archives, Elizabeth struggles with her conscience (and a gun), while Joyce, Ron, and Ibrahim search for clues with the help of old and new friends.

Will the gang manage to solve the mystery and save Elizabeth before the killer strikes again?

Bethany Waits understands that there is no turning back now. It's time to be brave and see how the whole situation will unfold. She weighs the bullet in her hand. The meaning of life is to recognize opportunities. To realize how rare they are, and then to rise to the occasion when they come. "Come find me. I just want to talk." That was the email. Since then, she keeps turning it over in her mind. Should she go? One last thing before deciding: to send a message to Mike. Mike knows about the article she is preparing. He doesn’t know the details – as a journalist, he must keep secrets – but he knows it’s risky. He’s awesome if she needs him, but some things you have to do on your own. Whatever happens tonight, it would be sad to give up on Mike Waghorn. He’s a good friend. A kind-hearted person, with a sense of humor. That’s why the audience loves him. But Bethany has bigger dreams, and maybe this is her chance.

This review is about the book: The Devil Dies Last

Nice plot, typical of this particular series which I liked a lot. However, in this book, it includes some philosophical chapters about the meaning of life that change the style of the text and make it heavier. I would have preferred if it had stayed lighter like the previous ones, since these books are meant to be read for relaxation, not for contemplation.

Also, the fact that in the translations we often see the words 'molatafta' and 'prosoras' (and in the previous books as well) is funny. They are not words used in everyday speech and they stand out. At first, they even annoyed me, "why do they talk like that?". Then I decided that since the protagonists are old, the narrator must be old too, so it's in his character and I calmed down

This review is about the book: The Thursday Murder Club

I love crime and mystery books, but this one was really exhausting to indifferent. I thought maybe it's because of the translation, but I don't think so... Many characters, too much confusion, not easy to read at all, and you often feel like the flow is lost.
