Description

Every year, about twenty people disappear from cruise ships in the open sea.

No one has ever reappeared among them.

Until now…

Martin Schwartz, a secret police agent, lost his wife and son five years ago while they were traveling on the cruise ship "Sultan of the Seas," and no one has been able to tell him what exactly happened.

Since then, Martin has been a wreck, trying to forget his pain by participating in deadly dangerous secret missions for the police. During one such operation, he receives a call from a strange elderly woman who claims to be a thriller writer. She tells him that he must board the "Sultan" at all costs, as there is evidence regarding what happened to his loved ones.

Martin had never intended to set foot on a ship again, but ultimately he does. Thus, he learns that a girl who had disappeared from the cruise ship a few weeks ago has reappeared – and in her arms, she holds his son's teddy bear…

Spoiler free: Cover: the cover is special due to the very complex color palette with the deep blue color, the red and white glossy letters, and the white details.

Positives: as usual, the book starts with a cinematic style in a scene that immediately gets you thinking. The writing style was fast and easy to read, the characters seemed unrelated but in the end, everything comes together.

Negatives: generally, I am a person who reads the acknowledgments at the end, but the book, after the acknowledgments, has a small continuation of the story, and it makes me think that if someone doesn't read the acknowledgments and closes the book, they won't immediately see the continuation.

Final conclusion: the book is worth it from every perspective, it is a model of suspense with a fast-paced plot, and as with every book of his, although in this book he did it better than "The Inmate" and "The Experiment", you never know who the killer is and it leaves you speechless

Very good writing technique and handling of language. To make the plot interesting, the premise has been - exceptionally - stretched. However, if you haven't read similar epic works, the plot may seem successful to you. 5/10

Stunning!!! With this book, I complete the cycle called Fitzek as I have read them all. I can say that this is one of the best. Easy to read with a nice plot that doesn't make you bored at all.

Generally, I am "difficult" with books, usually giving up on them after the first 20-30 pages. This is the first time I am reading Fitzeck and I would say I am more of a fan of other genres such as fantasy, sci-fi, etc. I read the 470 pages in less than 48 hours.
