Fragrant variety. Maximum height 25cm. The bulb is sold individually.
This bulbous plant blooms with colorful and fragrant flowers, on elongated stems 20-40 cm tall. It blooms from late winter to early spring, with white flowers that form unique one-sided inflorescences, vertical to the main stem of the plant.
It requires well-draining soils and regular watering, but does not thrive in soils with a lot of organic matter. If planted in such soils, it produces many leaves and few flowers.
The ideal substrate for planting Freesias in containers is a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, and well-composted manure in equal parts.
After flowering and when the leaves have dried, you can dig up the bulbs and store them in a dry, dark place until fall, when you will replant them.
It beautifully decorates flower beds within lawns as well as all types of pots, as long as they receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight a day. In vases, Freesias have an amazing performance, lasting long and exuding their wonderful fragrance.
It is a plant sensitive to very low temperatures and unsuitable for areas where the temperature drops below 0°C.
