Fragrant variety. Maximum height 25cm.
The bulb is sold individually.
This bulbous plant blooms with colorful and fragrant flowers, on elongated stems measuring 20-40 cm in height. It blooms from late winter to early spring, with purple flowers that form original one-sided inflorescences, vertical to the main stem of the plant.
It requires well-draining soils and regular watering, but it does not thrive in soils with too much organic matter. If planted in such soils, it produces many leaves and few flowers.
The ideal substrate for planting Freesia in pots is a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, and well-rotted manure in equal proportions.
After flowering and when the leaves dry up, you can uproot the bulbs and store them in a dry, dark place until autumn, when you will replant them.
It beautifully decorates flower beds within the lawn as well as all kinds of pots, provided they receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day. In vases, Freesias behave wonderfully, lasting long and emitting their lovely fragrance.
It is a plant sensitive to very low temperatures and unsuitable for areas where the temperature falls below 0°C.
