The double pink freesia is a fragrant bulb that can reach up to 0.30 meters. It is planted in the autumn and blooms about 12-13 weeks after planting.

It blooms with colorful and fragrant flowers, on elongated stems 20-40 cm high, from late winter to early spring. It has double pink flowers that form unique one-sided inflorescences, vertical to the main stem of the plant.

It requires well-draining soils and regular watering, and it does not thrive in soils with too much organic matter, as in such soils it produces many leaves and few flowers.

The ideal substrate for planting Freesias in containers is a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, and well-rotted manure in equal proportions.

After blooming and when the leaves have dried, the bulbs can be uprooted and stored in a dry, dark place until autumn, when they will be replanted.

They beautifully embellish flower beds and pots, as long as they receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight. In vases, Freesias behave wonderfully, lasting a long time and emitting their beautiful fragrance.

It is a plant sensitive to very low temperatures and unsuitable for areas with temperatures below 0°C.
