The double white freesia is a fragrant bulb, sold individually, and can reach up to 0.30 meters in height. It is planted in the autumn and blooms approximately 12-13 weeks after planting.

This bulbous plant flowers with colorful and fragrant blooms on elongated stems that are 20-40 cm tall. It blooms from late winter to early spring with double yellow flowers that form unique one-sided inflorescences, vertical to the main stem of the plant.

It prefers well-drained soils and regular watering, but does not thrive in soils with a lot of organic matter. If planted in such soils, it produces many leaves and few flowers.

The ideal substrate for planting freesia in pots is a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, and well-rotted manure in equal proportions. After blooming and when the leaves dry out, you can uproot the bulbs and store them in a dry and dark place until the autumn when you will replant them.

It beautifully decorates flower beds within lawns as well as various types of pots, as long as they receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day. In vases, freesias behave wonderfully, lasting a long time and releasing their wonderful fragrance.

It is a plant sensitive to very low temperatures and unsuitable for areas where the temperature drops below 0°C.
