"A Window to Art" is an annual review volume focusing on cinema, theater, painting, photography, and music. Through this, we aim to anatomically express opinions with the prospect of creating a single version of public space.
We define the printed material as the reference field of public space through which the mobility of ideas and the dialectical connection with the causal relationships governing human activity gain context. We strive to transform the print edition into a permanent environment of exchanges and changes, recording, capturing, and providing the necessary expertise in the frameworks of discourse, analyzing the coordinates from which ideological and social fermentation arises in the daily extensions of human participation.
We consider the discourse, particularly the theoretically processed position of each editor, as a fundamental advantage in the necessity of constructing a new intellectual tradition. The texts of collaborators and members participate in a common denominator, that of shaping a unified rhythm regarding the problems and issues that the rhythms of life impose on artistic expression.
For this reason, we regard the organized, structured, and theoretically framed publication of texts as of utmost importance, so that from the first issues, the synthetic criteria through which contemporary intellectual presence seeks to respond to questions and problems arising from the multi-layered economic, political, and cultural structure of society can be clearly expressed in public dialogue.
The contradictions of a value system with a horizon of the annihilation of human value, as experienced as the ideological narrative of the 21st century, that is, the absence of an alternative path in the individualistic - egocentric interpretation of life, for us, in the Philological Club, constitutes a challenge to overturn the conscious reversal of a network of concessions and restrictions that interpret the human being as an appendage of the economic multiplication of figures, deliberately ignoring human value, overshadowing the human factor in numbered indicators of market equivalence.
We aim to construct a new structure of discourse, concepts, linguistic forms, and philological prerequisites, through the reinterpretation and re-examination of accepted truths in art, bringing to the forefront the creator first, as an autonomous presence in public space, ultimately directing the extension of discourse as the forefront of a new moral expression and examination of data, with the human being at the center and the causes generating the contradictions of the social system in focus.
We strive to construct a permanent path of expression, expanding the stylistic expressive means to the height of intellectual pursuits and concerns, investing in the realistic recording of power relationships between the theoretical and practical manifestation of discourse and its implications. Art is the means to achieve deepening in the counter-proposal, in the alternative, for a new reality, for the design of the starting point in expression and the structure of discourse, as an extension of freedom and the awareness of it.
