POWER

BETRAYAL

A FORBIDDEN LOVE THAT WILL GO TO EXTREMES

LOVE IS ANOTHER SACRIFICE AT THE ALTAR OF POWER

Kezzari left behind absolute destruction. Betrayed and imprisoned in her own kingdom, Oregia mourns the loss of her only remaining family. When everything has already been lost, one thing she can be sure of is that she must not trust anyone; especially Rain.

The House of Night is surrounded by enemies. Rain's followers refuse to serve a former slave, a Transformed king, while the House of Blood holds the control of the kingdom, threatening to shatter its delicate balance at any moment.

But when Rain proposes a secret alliance to Oregia, she realizes this might be her last chance to reclaim her father's kingdom and take revenge on the man who betrayed her. To succeed, she must seek an ancient power hidden behind her father's darkest secrets.

In her quest to carve out her future and uncover her past, Oregia will have to choose between absolute power and a love that could destroy her completely. The relationship between Oregia and Rain is tested like never before in the shocking conclusion of one of the most talked-about romantasy titles of the year.

Review this product
  • Paper quality
  • Was it easy to read?
  • I liked the writing style
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • The book has a very nice story but it seems poorly written. I don't know, maybe it's also the translation's fault, which is bad. It's as if it was translated by a primary school child. Overall, it is carelessly edited.
Also, the story ends somewhat abruptly for the couple. It could have continued when they went to the vampire's country, now that both of them are vampires.
Also, something that struck me as odd and that I have never heard before in vampire myths is that there are two types: vampires who are born through biological reproduction and the transformation of a human into a vampire.
As is well known, vampires come from humans and are transformed when they are at the threshold of life and death by a vampire, of course.
    I will not elaborate further...
    Below average in my opinion.

Amazing book and a wonderful sequel to the first one! It keeps you constantly on edge and you don't want to put it down. A small complaint is that I would have liked a bit more continuation with the couple, I think it ended early. But still, it is one of the best duologies I have read

This review is about the cover: Soft

I can't say that the book was for me. Although I found the subject interesting and the writing had nice moments, I struggled to connect with the story—perhaps because I hadn't read the first book in the series. I often felt confused and couldn't fully immerse myself in the world the author has built. Nevertheless, I understand why it might excite those who love the genre and have followed the series from the beginning.
