Description

I WILL SETTLE FOR ONE NIGHT. ONE HOUR. ONE MINUTE. WHATEVER YOU WISH TO GIVE ME.

Lilith has been awaiting death since the day she was born. However, although she has come to terms with the idea of a short life, the lives of all those she loves are a different matter. Watching the small village where she was born and raised crumble under the weight of an incurable disease, the curse of a merciless god, Lilith decides to take matters into her own hands.

In a desperate search for a cure, Lilith makes a pact with the only being that the gods seem to hate more than the inhabitants of her humble village: a mysterious vampire, Veil. She offers him six roses in exchange for six vials of his blood, which she hopes will help her create an effective treatment.

But what began as a simple exchange will soon turn into something very different. And then Lilith will realize that giving a vampire her heart is far more dangerous than becoming his victim.

Return to the relentless world of the goddess Nyaxia with the moving story of Veil and Lilith. In this standalone novella from the series “The Crowns of Nyaxia,” Broadbent delivers another captivating tale full of intrigue, passion, and a forbidden, enchanting love.

“Absolutely addictive. Dark romantasy lovers must not miss this.” − Publishers Weekly

“A fiery love story inspired by the fairy tale ‘Beauty and the Beast.’” − goodreads.com

Review this product
  • Paper quality
  • Was it easy to read?
  • I liked the writing style
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • The book has a very nice story but it seems poorly written. I don't know, maybe it's also the translation's fault, which is bad. It's as if it was translated by a primary school child. Overall, it is carelessly edited.
Also, the story ends somewhat abruptly for the couple. It could have continued when they went to the vampire's country, now that both of them are vampires.
Also, something that struck me as odd and that I have never heard before in vampire myths is that there are two types: vampires who are born through biological reproduction and the transformation of a human into a vampire.
As is well known, vampires come from humans and are transformed when they are at the threshold of life and death by a vampire, of course.
    I will not elaborate further...
    Below average in my opinion.

  • This review is about the book: 2: The Ashes and the Cursed King

Amazing book and a wonderful sequel to the first one! It keeps you constantly on edge and you don't want to put it down. A small complaint is that I would have liked a bit more continuation with the couple, I think it ended early. But still, it is one of the best duologies I have read

This review is about the book: 2: The Ashes and the Cursed King

I can't say that the book was for me. Although I found the subject interesting and the writing had nice moments, I struggled to connect with the story—perhaps because I hadn't read the first book in the series. I often felt confused and couldn't fully immerse myself in the world the author has built. Nevertheless, I understand why it might excite those who love the genre and have followed the series from the beginning.
