The Hoya Fusion Antistatic Next UV 82mm is a high-quality filter with 18 layers of anti-reflective, anti-static coating with high transparency. It features water and oil repellent properties, as well as stain resistance. HOYA engineers have developed a new anti-static coating that acts like a dynamic field around the filter, repelling dust. Ideal for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance compared to traditional filters. Additionally, the hardened, anti-static top layer is hydrophobic and stain-resistant, while it cleans easily when smudges or fingerprints appear on the surface.

The UV filter blocks unwanted ultraviolet rays, reducing haze and increasing clarity. The new professional FUSION ANTISTATIC NEXT filters are made in Japan using selected silicate salts that are melted and carefully blended to produce high-performance optical glass. Then, HOYA applies the improved formula of 18-Layer Super Multi-Coating (on both sides) with exceptional precision, significantly reducing or eliminating reflections on the glass surface and offering an exceptionally clear high transmission rate. This means the filter essentially has no effect on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image.

The filters feature a lightweight, solid one-piece aluminum frame with a low profile to support the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain perfect parallel alignment with the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the low-profile shape eliminates vignetting when used on ultra-wide-angle lenses.
