May 1981. In an obscure printing house in Thessaloniki, a book is printed that was destined to mark a significant turning point in Greek prose. Its author is almost unknown: Yiannis Panou. The title is awkward: “...from the mouth of the old Remington...”.
Twenty-five years later, four younger prose writers, with an unprecedented collective gesture, pay the due tribute, explaining why, after this book, we no longer mean the same thing when we talk about “prose” and “novel”. A gesture with heavy symbolic weight and multiple connotations that will be discussed.
