The first book is basically the content of the first two movies. Quite close to the movies, it keeps your interest enough to keep reading, but you’re not exactly blown away either. It reads very easily and pleasantly, and toward the end of the book the story gives you a rhythm that makes you want to see what happens next. I also got the second one, but I don’t believe it can be compared to The Lord of the Rings.... I’ll come back for the second book....

It has a different approach to the science fiction genre and focuses more on the human rather than the technology, and that is what makes it even more special.
Although there have been movies that have done a good job in adaptation, reading it is truly worth it.

I am still at the beginning (150 pages in) and I can say with certainty that it is very good and has amazing pacing that doesn't tire you at all. Even if you have seen the movies (I have seen each one 5 times), there is no way you won't like it or find it interesting. From the very first pages, there are many differences compared to the movies that give much more depth and weight to the characters and new perspectives both towards them and towards the developments of the story. I highly recommend it.

Very superficial approach to Frank Herbert in my opinion, it's like moving away a bit from the world he struggled so much to create and ultimately something else is rendered. Unanswered questions and an unsatisfactory ending. If you liked Frank Herbert and his writing, you will probably be annoyed by the approach attempted in the two books (7-8). Of course, it's always a matter of taste.

Amazing book!!! I highly recommend it to those of you who haven't read it and are fans of fantasy. It is one of the most beautifully written ones.
