Description

It was March 24, 1999. The Prime Minister of Russia, Yevgeny Primakov, was on his way to Washington for an official visit. A few days earlier, American Vice President Al Gore had assured him that no final decision had been made regarding military operations against Yugoslavia. During the flight, Primakov learned about the start of American bombings and made the decision to return to Moscow.

This event was not only the beginning of a new foreign policy for Russia, but also the start of the transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world, which Primakov had predicted since the 1990s. We are increasingly experiencing the tumultuous transition to a polycentric, multipolar world. In order to understand all its aspects, thorough research and studies are required.

In this direction, distinguished Russian and Greek professors and experts contribute with their texts in this book. The authors of the volume include: Andreas Andrianopoulos, Vladimir Gutorov - Alexander Siriniantz, Konstantinos Grivas, Kostas Isychos, Theodoros Ignatidis, Yuri Kvashnin, Yuri Kobaladze, Andrei Kortunov, Veronika Krasennikova, Dimitris Konstantakopoulos, Ioannis Matzis, Kostas Melakopidis, Alexander Borisov, Themis Tzimas, Pavel Chigankov.
