Sikaflex 291i sealant is a one-component polyurethane material designed for marine applications. It cures with atmospheric moisture to form an elastomer used for flexible, vibration-resistant joints, as well as for sealing and bonding indoors and outdoors.
It is IMO-certified and meets the International Maritime Organization’s criteria for low flame spread. It adheres to wood, metals, metal primers, two-component paints, ceramics and GRP plastics, and can be painted over. It does not release VOCs or airborne pollutants, has a mild odour and is non-corrosive. It is not suitable for plastics prone to environmental stress cracking, such as Plexiglas and polycarbonate.
