The series Contemporary Social Sciences: Theory and Practice, directed by Professor V. Filas, is launched by Papazisis Editions with a threefold goal:

• To provide selected texts (Readers) from each social science that will comprehensively cover the relevant scientific theme based on global literature.
• To publish in Greek key scientific works from each branch of social sciences, the absence of which creates serious gaps and allows for one-sided and misleading scientific approaches.
• To circulate serious research monographs, mainly by younger scholars, which remain unknown or face the conspiracy of silence because they do not fit into an established logic and from a pulpit established views.
