(Kuros of the Nosto, 1978)

This volume presents the texts of the event held in honor of Socrates L. Skartsis, organized by the «Literary Circle of Patras», his friends and students, on May 5, 2025, in the packed hall of Argyris Market, in Patras, as well as the greeting delivered by the Rector of the University of Patras, Professor Mr. Christos Bouras.

Preceding the main content, a short excerpt from the unpublished Autobiography of S. L. Skartsis is included. Fourteen distinguished researchers, writers, and university professors refer to his work, his personality, and his contribution to Letters. Also discussed are his path at the University of Patras and the Poetry Symposium, one of the longest-standing and most significant cultural institutions of the country, of which he was the inspirer, founder, and a main member of the Organizing Committee.

The concluding text of the volume mentions the creation of the «Literary Circle of Patras», the last cultural movement he organized among many throughout his life, as well as the prehistory of the publication of the book Twelve Writings for Reading, published by Farfoulas Publications, March 2025, involving its members and with the participation of S. L. Skartsis.

The volume includes a brief anthology of S. L. Skartsis's poetry, compiled by members of the «Literary Circle of Patras», prepared for the needs of the event.
