War has always been the curse of civilization. In fact, it could very easily be its end. At the same time that people increasingly feel the destructive threat of war, they simultaneously feel powerless to stop it.
What would a world without war be like? This specific volume can only answer this question indirectly, and when it comes to war, it aims to glorify the good of peace.
Using a derivative of culture, which is cinema, experts such as scientists, historians, international relations scholars, and film historians attempt through their texts a different approach to war: its representation through the magic of the cinematic lens.
And here we reach the core issue: the different starting points and references of each creator, each justified by their ideological stance toward the phenomenon of war, come to rationalize the theme of the annual academic meetings of the Diplomatic Archive Service and specifically its Film Archive, which is "The testimony of the cinematic image".
