In the present volume, a multi-layered and multidimensional approach is attempted, timeless, to areas of instability as expressed today within the framework of the Post-Cold War Gulf of the New International Order, with an emphasis on the Balkans, the Southeastern Mediterranean, and the Middle East, in relation to the strategy, the role, the capabilities, and the presence of Greece and Turkey in the emerging New International System, particularly in the aforementioned regions.

In other words, an approach is made to the interconnection of problems, as manifested regionally in their relationship with the reference countries and regional powers of influence, the correlation or interconnection of problems with the international factor and the relationship of conflict-confrontation between the two regional powers, Greece and Turkey, with each other.
