Description & Specifications

The fairy tale is the most beloved and perhaps the most essential genre of Greek oral folk tradition, which is often utilized in elementary school, especially in the first two grades, to this day.

However, the position and pedagogical utilization of the fairy tale in the school practice of primary education is extremely undervalued in relation to its significant pedagogical value.

In the present volume, fourteen specialists, folklorists, educators, and psychologists approach the fairy tale from their respective fields of expertise, as a narrative genre, as a folkloric object within the community context, as a pedagogical tool in the Kindergarten and Elementary School (teaching it in class, interdisciplinary approach, etc.), as well as regarding its role in the education of children with learning difficulties.
